Every message goes to one person and every message gets read. Pick what your enquiry is about below and the composer will start the email for you with the right headings — that detail is usually the difference between a report we can act on today and one that needs three replies first.
Your email will start like this
Page address: What is stated on the page: What is actually correct: Source, if you have one (a link is ideal, but not required):
If that button does nothing, your browser has no mail app set up. Write to contact@ninjatyping.com from wherever you normally send email — the headings above are worth copying across, but a message without them is still worth sending.
Reporting a factual error
This is the one we most want to hear about, so it is worth saying plainly what happens when you send one.
A factual error on this site is not a cosmetic problem. People use these pages to prepare for government examinations and job assessments, and a wrong required speed, a wrong duration or a wrong backspace rule can send someone into a test having practised the wrong thing. So confirmed factual errors are corrected ahead of whatever else is in progress, and where the correction changes the substance of a page rather than fixing a slip, the review date on that page is updated so the change is visible rather than silent.
You do not need to be certain, and you do not need a source
A link to the correct information makes a report much faster to act on, but a message saying only this figure looks wrong to me is still worth sending. Checking it is our job, not yours. We would rather chase a few reports that turn out to be right as published than miss one that was not.
If a report turns out to be correct, the page changes. We do not argue a correction because it is inconvenient, and we do not quietly remove a page to make an error disappear. The reasoning behind that is set out in full in our editorial policy.
How long a reply takes
These are commitments rather than aspirations, and they reflect the fact that this site is written and maintained by one person. Working days means Monday to Friday.
| Type of enquiry | Reply within | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Factual error on a page | Same or next working day | Prioritised ahead of other work once confirmed, because someone may be preparing for an exam on it |
| Exam rules out of date | Same or next working day | Checked against the official notification before the page is changed |
| Bug report | Within 2 working days | Anything blocking a test from running is treated as urgent |
| Passage error | Within 5 working days | Batched, since a fix means regenerating the corpus and redeploying |
| Feedback or a request | Within 5 working days | Read and replied to, though a request is not a commitment to build it |
| Privacy or data question | Within 5 working days | Formal data requests are handled within the statutory period |
If you have not heard back inside those windows, the message has gone astray rather than been ignored. Send it again and say it is a second attempt.
What makes a bug report easy to fix
Most typing-test problems turn out to be browser-specific or device-specific, which means the hardest part of fixing one is reproducing it. Four details usually settle that immediately:
- The page address. Copy it from the address bar rather than describing the page.
- Your browser and version, and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. Chrome on Android and Chrome on Windows are different enough to matter.
- What you did, what happened, and what you expected. Three short lines beats one long paragraph.
- Whether it happens every time, or only sometimes. Intermittent faults are diagnosed completely differently from consistent ones.
A screenshot helps and is never wasted. If the typing test itself is not starting, mention whether you have an ad blocker or script blocker running, since that is the most common cause and is quick to confirm.
Things we cannot help with
Worth saying honestly, so you do not wait on a reply that was never going to solve the problem. We get these regularly and we would rather redirect you now.
- Your actual exam result, admit card, or application. We are not affiliated with SSC, CPCT, DSSSB, any High Court, or any other examination authority. We cannot look anything up, and we have no channel to them. Contact the body running the exam.
- Certificates for our tests. We do not issue them. Results here are practice results with no official standing, and a site charging you for a certificate on a test like this is worth treating with suspicion.
- Confirming what an exam requires. We can correct our page if it is wrong, but the official notification governs and you should read it. If our page and the notification disagree, the notification is right.
- Guaranteed placement or job applications. We are a practice site. We do not recruit, do not pass details to employers, and have no relationship with any of the companies named on these pages.
- Recovering your typing results. Scoring happens in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so there is no record on our side to retrieve. That is deliberate, and it is explained in the privacy policy.
Other routes
Several questions have a page that answers them more fully than an email reply would.
- How the content is produced — who writes it, where passages come from, how exam rules are verified, how the site is funded: editorial policy.
- Who runs the site and why it exists: about.
- What data is collected, cookies, advertising and your consent choices: privacy policy.
- Affiliation, accuracy of results and limits of use: disclaimer and terms.
For anything involving your personal data — a request for a copy, a correction, or deletion — email the address above and say clearly that it is a data request, so it is handled within the statutory period rather than treated as general correspondence.
