What is Ninja Typing?

Ninja Typing is a free online typing test and practice platform. It is designed for anyone who wants to measure or improve their typing speed - whether you are a student preparing for a government exam, a professional looking to type faster at work, or simply curious about your WPM.

For government exam aspirants, we provide exam-format typing tests that follow official SSC rules exactly - correct duration, backspace restrictions, and the standard word-based WPM formula used in SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, and other competitive exams. Why We Built This

Most typing test sites are built for casual use - they don't match the format of Indian government exams, use different scoring formulas, or allow backspace when the actual exam doesn't. Candidates who practiced on those sites would show up to the real exam unprepared for the no-backspace rule and the specific WPM formula used by SSC.

Ninja Typing was created by Jyoti M., the site's founder and author. Jyoti comes from a science background and spent years in teaching — an experience that shaped a simple belief: people learn best when they can practice in conditions that match the real test. After learning to program, Jyoti built Ninja Typing to bring that idea to typing: a single, free platform where anyone can prepare for government exams, job assessments, coding practice, and everyday speed, in a format that mirrors the real thing.

Every exam format, passage, and WPM rule on the site is researched, tested, and updated by hand. Ninja Typing is independent and is not affiliated with any government body or examination authority.
